How I’m Getting Feedback for Waku 1.0 RC

Hi,

Waku v1.0.0-rc.0 was released last week. My intention was to collect more feedback with the RC and become confident enough to land v1. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked that way.

While some people are trying Waku, many people don’t care, which is bad news, or they’re just waiting for v1, which is rather good news. I assume that some people who have already tried Waku are already familiar with it, and the RC version doesn’t make much difference for them.

Why do I need feedback from humans?

I just realized: why do I need feedback from humans? Ask agents.

So I did.

I’m not sure why I didn’t try it earlier. Maybe because I hoped people would use Waku for their non-OSS products.

The agent suggested trying to migrate some Next.js apps to Waku. Yeah, that’s a reasonable idea, as many users will do the same. It’s too obvious.

Let agents try the migration

The agent did a great job. It converted three Next.js examples to Waku and found several bugs.

Those bugs are fundamental to migration, which I hadn’t paid much attention to previously. So, those bugs are now filed in the repository, and I’m working on them, obviously with agents.

If we keep running this loop, hopefully Waku v1 will be ready.
